α-β TITANIUM ALLOY

摘要

Provided is an α-β titanium alloy which has high strength and excellent hot workability equivalent to those of a typical α-β titanium alloy such as Ti-6Al-4V, while having more excellent machinability than Ti-6Al-4V. This α-β titanium alloy is characterized by containing, in mass%, 0.1-2.0% of Cu and/or 0.1-2.0% of Ni, 2.0-8.5% of Al, 0.08-0.25% of C, and 0-4.5% of Cr and/or 0-2.5% of Fe so that the total thereof is 1.0-7.0%, with the balance made up of Ti and unavoidable impurities.
