PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure of a rotary kiln which sufficiently cools a whole circumference of a seal interface, and to provide the rotary kiln.SOLUTION: A seal structure 4 of a rotary kiln 1 includes: a rotation flange part 40 which includes a rotary side radial extending part 400 extending to the radial outer side from an outer peripheral surface of a rotary cylinder part 2 and an annular rotary side axial extending part 401 extending from the rotary side radial extending part 400 in an axial direction; a fixed flange part 41 disposed independently of the rotary cylinder part 2 at the radial outer side of the rotary side axial extending part 401 and including an annular fixed side axial extending part 411 which forms an annular seal interface SA between itself and the rotary side axial extending part 401; a cooling part 45 which cools a whole circumference of the seal interface SA from the radial inner side of the rotary side axial extending part 401; and a refrigerant adjustment part 46 which adjusts at least one of a temperature and a flow rate of a refrigerant L supplied to the cooling part 45. |
