PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy management device and an energy management method capable of optimizing the operation of each apparatus by employing an appropriate algorithm, even when an event such as electric outage occurs suddenly.SOLUTION: A HEMS 200 includes an acquisition unit for acquiring a plurality of algorithms and the processing time required for processing the plurality of algorithms, a specification unit for specifying an extension of time for processing a specific event depending on the detection of the specific event, and a selection unit for selecting an algorithm to be employed depending on the detection of the specific event, from among the plurality of algorithms, depending on the comparison results of the extension of time and the processing time. |
