The present invention provides a vent hole plug for a tire vulcanization mold capable of improving an appearance quality of a tire by preventing vent-rubber from being generated on a surface of a tire and preventing air between a green tire and a mold from remaining in the process of green tire vulcanization. According to the present invention, for a plug inserted into and mounted on a vent hole formed in tire vulcanization mold, the plug is inserted into and mounted on the vent hole to allow the upper surface thereof not to protrude from the inner lateral surface of the mold, and at least one or more exhaust holes are penetrated and formed to discharge air (gas) generated in the process of tire vulcanization to the outside, and a guide groove is formed at a predetermined depth to induce air (gas) flow to the exhaust hole on the upper surface of the plug. In addition, a screw thread is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the plug to be inserted into and mounted on the vent hole by screw connection, and the upper part is tapered to be greater than a diameter of the screw thread to press and seal an entrance of the vent hole. According to the technical configuration described above, a plug is inserted into and mounted on a vent hole, and vent-rubber is not generated on a surface of a tire in the process of green tire vulcanization. Therefore, a subsequent process for removing vent-rubber is omitted to improve workability and productivity. In addition, a guide groove, a guide projection, and a delay projection are formed on the upper surface of a plug to discharge air (gas) inside a mold. Therefore, air between a green tire and a mold is prevented from remaining to remove a cause of a tire defect. In addition, a plug is inserted into and mounted on a vent hole by screw connection and a guide groove on the upper surface of a plug serves as a straight or cross thread groove. Therefore, the plug can be easily inserted into and mounted on the vent hole even through a user is not skilled. |
