The invention provides a device for making a thread hole on a sheet. The device is capable of superadding and adjusting the length of yarn penetrating and thereby left on the surface of the sheet on a needle side supplying yarn. In yarn eye punching device (10) for the sheet arranged on a cutter (1), yarn (9) penetrates a punching position (7a) by a yarn penetrating needle (13). The yarn penetrating needle (13) is pulled out upwardly from the surface of the sheet (7). A yarn pressure plate (16) holds the rising yarn (9) extending downwardly from the yarn penetrating needle (13), and thereafter lowers the yarn which is in a held state. A cutting mechanism (15) cuts off the yarn (9) extending downwardly from the yarn penetrating needle (13). The yarn length that the yarn (9) penetrates and thereby is left on the surface of the sheet (7) is held by the yarn pressure plate (16) and pulled down, so that the length can be superadded from the yarn penetrating needle (13) side supplying yarn, and also can be adjusted. |
