PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag in which a tether is not twisted when deploying the airbag.SOLUTION: A curtain airbag includes: an airbag 2; a tether 3 fastened between an upper part of the airbag 2 and a pillar of a car body; and a through-hole 4 which is provided in a lower part of the airbag 2 and through which the tether 3 is made to pass. In a structure of storage into the car body, the airbag 2 is folded once or more in a vertically intermediate portion in such a manner that the through-hole 4 is positioned in the upper part of the airbag 2 and an upper part 2b and a lower part 2d of the airbag 2 become neighboring to each other and then the airbag 2 is further folded in a roll or bellows shape. Since the tether is not twisted when storing the curtain airbag into the car body or when deploying the airbag, if an occupant is located at a place in contact with the tether when deploying the airbag, any damage such as an abrasion is not given to the occupant. |
