Disclosed are a system and a method for protecting a drivers eyes from glare. The system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a telematics unit which collects movement information and high beam operation information of an opposite vehicle from an opposite vehicle on an opposite lane; a smart glass worn on a face of a driver to measure a drivers eyes sensitivity to glare; an audio video navigation (AVN) which presumes a timing where a driver is exposed to a high beam light of the opposite vehicle based on the movement information of the vehicle concerned and the high beam operation information of the opposite vehicle, and receives transmissivity information in accordance with a drivers eyes sensitivity to glare from the smart glass; and a windshield controller which controls light transmissivity of a windshield glass in accordance with the transmissivity information received by the AVN. |
