A food homogenizer (20) is provided, comprising a base (22) comprising a driving motor (30) with a drive shaft (32) and a homogenizer assembly (24) removably coupled to the base (22). The homogenizer assembly (24) comprises a homogenizing chamber (50), an inlet chute (58) in fluid communication with the homogenizing chamber (50), an exit spout (60) separate from the inlet chute (58) and in fluid communication with the homogenizing chamber (50), and a twist-lock coupler (45) to removably couple the homogenizer assembly (24) to the base (22), a shredder (52) disposed within the homogenizing chamber (50) and driven by the driving motor (30) for rotational movement within the homogenizing chamber (50), the shredder (52) having a conical geometry and extending from a cylindrical base (70) towards a vertex (72), wherein the homogenizing chamber (50), the inlet chute (58), the exit spout (60) and twist-lock coupler (45) are formed together as a monolithic structure, and the shredder (52) includes blades (76) extending from the vertex (72) to the cylindrical base (70), and at least one depression (86) disposed between an adjacent pair of the blades (76). The shredder (52) is driven by the driving motor (30) to homogenize food ingredients into a soft texture with a similar consistency as ice cream or sherbet. |
