A telescopic fitment 60 suitable for connecting a magnetic filter 10 to a central heating system circuit comprises a first connector 62 and a second connector 64, at least one of the connectors comprising an inner pipe 70 and an outer pipe 72; the inner pipe 70 able to slide within the outer pipe 72 for adjusting the position of the inner pipe end relative to the outer pipe end whilst maintaining a sealed fluid path between the pipe ends. The magnetic filter 10 includes at least one separation chamber (10, 12, Fig. 1) and a screw-top closure (16, 18, Fig. 1) comprising a circumferential wall (44, 46, Fig. 1) having castellations (48, 50, Fig. 1) suitable for engaging with a handle (90, Fig. 6a) to allow the closure to be closed by hand. The magnetic filter 10 includes first and second separation chambers (12, 14, Fig. 2) each containing a magnet (20, 22, Fig. 2). An inlet and outlet port arrangement (28, 30, Fig.2) connects inlets and outlets of both chambers to a single inlet and outlet pipe respectively. |
