Disclosed herein is a signal processing apparatus including a first detection block for detecting a first preamble signal from a multiplexed plurality of different signals having the first preamble signal; a second detection block for detecting a second preamble signal following the first if information in the first preamble signal identifies a first signal; a duration detection block for determining a duration of a second signal in said multiplexed signals based on information in said second preamble signal; and a duration information output block for outputting information about said duration of said second signal to a demodulation block for demodulating one of said signal in said multiplexed plurality of signals.
