PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a surge protection device for a communication path for enabling data communication which is small, high resistance and high-speed data communication.SOLUTION: A surge protection device for a communication path includes: a wiring board 111 having a signal line set 13 and a ground pattern 121 surrounding the signal line pair 13; external connection connectors 21 respectively provided at both end parts of the wiring board 111 and mutually connected by the signal line set 13; and three-pole arrestor elements 15 mounted on the wiring board 111. The three-pole arrestor elements 15 have a first terminal T1 and a second terminal T2 respectively provided on an end surface, and a third terminal T3 provided between the first terminal T1 and the second terminal T2. Lower ends of the first terminal T1 and the third terminal T3 are respectively connected to the signal line set 13, and a lower part of the second terminal T2 is connected to the ground pattern 121 and functions as a ground plane. |
