There is provided a tuneable shaped charge having an explosive 110, a liner 120, a first electrode 130 connected to the liner, and a second electrode 140 remote from the liner, the first and second electrodes for passing an electric current through a jet that is formed by the liner 120 upon initiation of the explosive. The first electrode may be a ring mounted forward of the liner, and the second electrode may be an electrically conductive sheet arranged in a path of the jet. The charge may have a jet tuning cavity 162, and there may be a third electrode surrounding the jet tuning cavity. This third electrode may be a plurality of strip electrodes 172, 174 oriented in a direction in which the jet initially travels upon initiation of the explosive. |
