[Class 35] A fan motor, of the kind having the fan blades carried by the rotor, has its end covers attached directly to the end ringsof the rotor windings. As shown, the cast aluminium or aluminium alloy rotor winding has end rings j spigotted or located by lugs to the top and bottom end covers m, n. The internal stator a is fixed to a shaft c on a supporting flange d carrying a terminal block f. The lower end cover carries brackets v to which fan blades are fixed.
