The apparatus comprises: at least one processor; and at least one memory storing computer program code configured, working with the at least one processor, to cause at least the following to be performed: responding to user input by switching a device from an unlocked state to a locked state; and setting a user input process for switching the device from the locked state to the unlocked state, in dependence upon the user input provided to switch the device from the unlocked state to the locked state.
