The method involves supervising and regulating aspect ratio in a heating distance and another aspect ratio in another heating distance in such a manner that the required aspect ratio of a pipe (4) predominantly takes place in former heating distance and the latter aspect ratio of the pipe become zero in latter heating distance. An independent claim is also included for an extrusion line.
