METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING COMMUNICATION QUALITY BASED ON CHANNEL STATUS ESTIMATION

A communication quality predicting method and a device thereof are provided. Strength of a receiving signal is measured at every preset measurement cycle in an environment which provides an ultra-high-speed communication service using a high frequency band to a terminal. A channel quality degradation variable with respect to a communication channel between the terminal and a base station is calculated based on the strength of the receiving signal. The channel quality degradation variable is compared with a preset threshold value. When the channel quality degradation variable is larger than or the same as the threshold value, it is determined that quality of the communication channel rapidly decreases.
