PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control the start-up and stop of an engine when a hybrid vehicle is in a manual shift state.SOLUTION: A travel control device for a vehicle includes: an engine and a motor, which serve as driving sources for transferring a driving force to a driving wheel; shift control means for controlling shifting of a transmission; manual shift operation means for inputting a manual shift operation into the shift control means; and start-up control means for starting the engine when the operation performed by the manual shift operation means is a shift-down operation in the case where a manual shift state is brought about by the operation of the manual shift operation means in a coast state. |
