PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin composition for a nonaqueous secondary battery electrode, having little adverse effects on human bodies and the environment, excellent in adhesion with a collector, and capable of manufacturing a nonaqueous secondary battery retaining high discharge capacity even after repetition of charge and discharge and under a high-temperature environment due to heat generation.SOLUTION: A binder resin composition for a nonaqueous secondary battery electrode is a resin composition obtained by polymerizing a mixture including an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (A) which can be radically polymerized and a polyamide resin (B) in an aqueous medium including a surfactant, a polymerization initiator and water as essential components. The mixture of the (A) and the (B) are forcibly emulsified in the presence of a surfactant and water, and polymerized after the emulsified product has an average particle size of 2 μm or less. |
