PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box capable of safely storing waste including radioactive materials by blocking radiation of the radioactive materials.SOLUTION: The storage box is composed of: a precast concrete box-like block 1 composed of a square plate-like bottom part 2 and a square cylinder-like peripheral wall part 3 erected from the outer edge part of the bottom part 2 and having an opened upper surface; a water shielding sheet 4 laid along the inner surface of the box-like block 1; and a precast concrete square plate-like cover panel 5 for covering the opening of the box-like block 1. |
