PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate in which a photocurable adhesive is used to bond a polarizer composed of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film to a protective film and the polarizer and the protective film are strongly bonded to each other.SOLUTION: There is provided a polarizing plate which is obtained by bonding a transparent protective film via an adhesive layer to a polyvinyl alcohol based polarizer in which a dichroic dye is adsorbed and aligned, wherein the adhesive layer is a cationic polymerization curing layer of a photocurable adhesive containing (B) 1 to 10 pts.wt. of a photo-cation polymerization initiator and (C) 0.1 to 20 pts.wt. of a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol-based resin in which the degree of saponification is 20 to 50 mol% and the viscosity of a 5 wt.% solution in a mixed solution with an equal weight ratio of water/methanol is 5 mPa.sec or less, based on 100 pts.wt. of a photo-cation curable component containing (A) (A1) 50 to 90 wt.% of a diepoxy compound having an alicyclic ring and two epoxy groups in the molecule and (A2) 10 to 50 wt% of a reactive aliphatic compound selected from an aliphatic epoxy compound and an oxetane compound. |
