The invention relates to a thermoplastic composition comprising: at least one starch; at least one starch plasticiser; and at least one functional polyolefin, in which the functional polyolefin is a copolymer of propylene and of at least one second alpha-olefin, as well as comprising at least one functional compound bearing at least one polar function, said copolymer comprising, in relation to the total mass thereof, between 45 and 95 mass-% of units derived from propylene. This composition has improved properties and can be used in particular to produce films.
