The present invention relates to an apparatus for maintaining the tension of a space thread in a weaving machine including: a pair of pillar members provided at respective upper ends of a base frame in the weaving machine; a first supporting plate attached to each of both upper ends of the pillar member; driving means provided in the first supporting plate; and first tension maintaining means having a pair of fixed plates separated from each other, a main tension roller bearing-supported at both ends of the fixed plate and linked to the driving means, and at least one auxiliary tension roller bearing-supported at both ends of the fixed plate and linked to the main tension roller. According to the present invention, a high-quality fabric can be woven with the tension of the space thread maintained. |
