This multicast transmission terminal is equipped with: a transmission/reception unit that carries out multicast transmission using a predetermined center frequency and bandwidth and receives an acknowledgment that is transmitted using a center frequency that is different from the center frequency used for the multicast transmission and a bandwidth that is narrower than the bandwidth used for the multicast transmission; a discoverer unit that transmits an inquiry packet by means of broadcasting in order to find destination reception terminals of the multicast transmission; an allocation unit that allocates center frequencies to be used by the respective reception terminals to transmit the acknowledgments according to the number of reception terminals that were found, said center frequencies allocated to the reception terminals being different from the center frequency used for the multicast transmission, and generates an allocation list showing the allocations; and a notification control unit that causes the transmission/reception unit to transmit the allocation list by means of multicasting.
