An LED unit (1) which serves as an illumination light source includes: a mounting board (40) on which a light-emitting element, which emits light frontward, is provided; a support (20) disposed behind the mounting board (40); and a case (50) disposed so that the mounting board (40) is sandwiched in a longitudinal direction by the case (50) and the support (20). The case (50) includes a restricting part (56) which restricts sideward movement of the mounting board (40).
