[Class 61(iii)] [Also in Group XXII] A tool for inserting a wire coil 7 into the thread groove of a female screw member F comprises a head portion 1 having means 4 for applying torque, a shank 2 adapted to be introduced into the coil and an end portion 3 having a longitudinal slot 5 to engage a tang 8 of the coil, one edge of the slot-forming walls of said end portion being sharp and the other edge at the same end of the slot being rounded. The shank 2 acts as a limit gauge of the internal diameter of the coil. The diagonallyopposite edges of the slot are rounded; the others being cutting-edges. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also the rounding of both edges at the same end of the slot and the provision of the cutting-edges at the opposite end of the slot. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
