PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote backup device etc. capable of continuing backup without stopping even when a failure occurs.SOLUTION: A remote backup device 20 comprises: a data reception unit 204 for receiving data to be backed up from another device connected at one stage before and writing the data in a pre-provided data storage unit 211; a queue management unit 202 for extracting the data to be backed up from the data storage unit and writing the data in a pre-provided queue storage unit 212; a data transmission unit 203 for transmitting the data to be backed up which is written in the queue storage unit to another device connected at one stage after; and a backup control unit 201 for requesting another device connected at two stages before to transmit the data to be backed up, when the data to be backed up is not received for a prescribed time period from the other device connected at one stage before. |
