The present invention relates to an around view monitoring system and a method thereof, and more specifically, to an around view monitoring system and a method thereof, additionally displaying the position of a dynamic obstacle suddenly appearing in surroundings of a vehicle when an around view image on the vehicle is provided. The around view monitoring system comprises an image processing part. The image processing part generates an around view image using images photographed by a photographing part including a single camera and displays the position of the dynamic obstacle on the around view image when the dynamic obstacle is detected by an obstacle detection part. Therefore, in case the around view is generated using an image photographed before the dynamic obstacle appears, the position of the dynamic obstacle can be checked on the around view image in real time.
