PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray replacement method and a component mounting device, by which a tray on a tray holding stage can be replaced without interrupting a mounting operation for a component.SOLUTION: When a substrate conveyance timing reaches during a process in which components 3 in a tray 10B are supplied while an empty tray 10A is held on a tray holding stage 16, a tray holding stage 16 is moved to a tray recovery position P2 and the empty tray 10A is recovered. Then, the tray holding stage 16 is moved to a component supply position P3 while nothing is held on the first tray holding table 19A, and a component mounting operation is carried out again. When a substrate conveyance timing reaches again, a tray 10A is newly supplied to the first tray holding table 19A. Subsequently, the tray holding stage 16 is moved to a component supply position P3, and a component mounting operation for the tray 10B is carried out again. |
