PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a communication band consumption amount and a communication delay when a nondispersive middle point (MB) is used.SOLUTION: A computer system includes a plurality of bases, which in turn have a configuration in which a computer, a middle box (MB), and a gateway can communicate with each other. The computer and the MB can communicate with another base in a virtual network straddling the plurality of bases via the gateway. The same IP is set to MBs having the same function in the bases in the virtual network. The gateway has association information associating an IP address with necessity information indicating if it is necessary to stop transferring a broadcast packet from the computer. On receiving a broadcast packet including a destination IP address specifying the MB in its base from the computer in the base the gateway belongs to, the gateway obtains necessity information corresponding to the destination IP address from the association information, determines whether transfer to the other bases should be stopped on the basis of the necessity information, and discards the broadcast packet if so.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
