PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a DC voltage and an AC voltage to be applied to a developer carrier at an early stage.SOLUTION: There is provided a power source device 9 that applies a voltage to a developer carrier 72 for carrying a developer, and includes: a DC power source part 93 that applies a DC voltage gradually stabilizing to a predetermined level to the developer carrier 72; an AC power source part 94 that applies an AC voltage gradually stabilizing to a predetermined level to the developer carrier 72; a current detection part 95 that detects the AC current to be input to the developer carrier 72; a voltage correction part 14 that reduces the level of the DC voltage as a current value detected by the current detection part 95 increases; and a development control part 12 that causes the AC power source part 94 to start application of the AC voltage at a higher level than a target level at a first time point, causes the DC power source part 93 to start application of the DC voltage at the target level at a second time point subsequent to the first time point, and changes the level of the AC voltage in which the AC power source part 94 is caused to apply to the target level at a third time point after the lapse of a predetermined set time T from the first time point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
