PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse osmosis membrane or nano-filtration membrane having good to extremely good fouling characteristics.SOLUTION: A reverse osmosis membrane or a nano-filtration membrane has such a support layer that at least one porous support layer is arranged on at least one support layer, at least one separation active layer is arranged on the porous support layer and, further, at least one cover layer is arranged on the separation active layer. Therein, the separation active layer is made of a polyamide having an acid chloride group at least on the surface of the separation active layer prepared by an interfacial polymerization, the cover layer is made of a polymer having at least one functional group and the functional group of the cover layer is bound by a chemical reaction to the acid chloride group of the polyamide of the separation active layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
