PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve shortening of a focal distance and deterioration of a wavefront aberration.SOLUTION: A variable focus lens includes: a base plate made of a monocrystalline material having an electrooptical effect, and in which, when light enters from an incidence plane straight to a cross-section in a face orthogonal to a first face being substantially square, the light is emitted from an emission surface opposing the incidence plane; a first electrode pair including a first anode formed on one of a third face abutting on the incidence plane and a first cathode formed on a fourth face opposing the third face and at a position facing the first anode; and a second electrode pair including a second cathode formed on the third face and arranged distanced from the first anode and a second anode formed on the fourth face at a position facing the second cathode, and arranged distanced from the first cathode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
