PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method and a device for vending machines that enable an efficient operation of vending machines.SOLUTION: An operation device 200 for vending machines includes: a server communication module for forming communication channels with a plurality of vending machines 100; and a server control module that performs control so as to generate sales control information differently defining operation states for commodity sales on the basis of commodity demand information per state on the vending machines, and to provide the sales control information for the vending machines.
