PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take out sheets supplied which are jammed while the sheets are conveyed toward the downstream.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device is equipped with: a first sheet guide plate 31 which is fixedly arranged along a first sheet conveying path PP1 when conveying sheets P selectively fed from first and second sheet feeding portions 11 and 15 along first and second sheet conveying paths PP1 and PP2 toward a common sheet conveying path Pk provided downstream in a sheet conveying direction; a second sheet guide plate 32 which is arranged turnably opposing to the first sheet guide plate 31 across the first sheet conveying path PP1 and opened and closed manually; a third sheet guide plate 41 which is fixedly arranged along a second sheet conveying path PP2 arranged further inside than the first sheet conveying path PP1; a fourth guide plate 42 which is arranged turnably opposing to the third sheet guide plate 41 across the second sheet conveying path PP2 and opposing to the second sheet guide plate 32; and interlocking means 60 which opens and closes the fourth sheet guide plate 42 in interlock with the opening/closing operation of the second sheet guide plate 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
