1. A method of increasing muscle performance in an individual during exercise comprising administering one or more flavanol compounds selected from quercetin, rutin, isoquercetin, isoquercetrin, kaempferol, myricetin, isohamnetin, or sulphate, glucuronide, or glycoside conjugated forms thereof to an individual for a time period prior to exercise; engaging in exercise; and achieving a lower blood lactate concentration. |
