According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for providing a document sharing service based on a messenger comprises the steps of: receiving, by a server, a document transmission signal for transmitting a document displayed through a chat window of a first chat group from a first terminal application corresponding to one of members of the first chat group to the members of a second chat group different from the first chat group; obtaining, by the server a document identifier from the document transmission signal, searching for the document corresponding to the document identifier, and transmitting the document to a second terminal application corresponding to each of the members of the second chat group; and updating, by the server, the present sharing condition information of the document in the database based on the present sharing condition of the document in the second chat group. By enabling document sharing through the chat window of a chat group, only a document suitable for the field of interest of a chat group to which a user belongs is exposed from the position of the user reading an exposed document, and thus a further selected document can be provided to the user. |
