PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscous joint which can easily make compatible the securement of a control function of transmission torque and the securement of the rigidity of a plate.SOLUTION: An operation chamber 6 is formed of an outer housing 2 connected to one rotating shaft and an inner hub 3 connected to a drive pinion shaft 52, in the operation chamber 6, an outer plate 4 integrally rotating with the outer housing 2 and an inner plate 5 integrally rotating with the inner hub 3 are alternately arranged having a dimension L of an overlap margin in the radial direction, and in a viscous joint 1 sealed with a viscous fluid, in at least one of the outer plate 4 and the inner plate 5, a plurality of bottomed grooves 20 are formed in parallel with one another at least at one of the front surface and the rear surface of the plates all over the whole circumference in a range of a dimension La not larger than 2/3 of the dimension L at the radial inside from the external edge of the overlap margin. |
