A self-propelled apparatus for measuring geometric and/or structural parameters of a railway track and/or switch (80) is provided with a measuring module (3) mounted on a motor-driven carriage (2; 54), which is coupled, in use, to the railway track and/or switch (80) and has a central supporting frame (6) and two trains of wheels (4), each of which is provided with a plurality of wheels (32) for advance of the carriage, rotatably mounted on a corresponding lateral supporting frame (31) releasably engaged to the central supporting frame (6).
