PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device and illumination equipment that can suppress flicker of light.SOLUTION: A lighting device 10 has a rectifying circuit 3, a conversion circuit 4, a constant current circuit 5 and a control circuit 6. The conversion circuit 4 has a first capacitor C1, a series circuit of a first inductor L1 and a switching element Q1, a series circuit of a second capacitor C2 and a second inductor L2, and a series circuit of a diode D1 and a third capacitor C3. The conversion circuit 4 is configured to output DC current upon control of on/off of the switching element Q1 by the control circuit 6. A terminal at the high potential side of the third capacitor C3 is electrically connected to an output terminal 2A. A terminal at the low potential side of the third capacitor C3 is electrically connected to an output terminal 2B through the constant current circuit 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
