PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation/linear motion conversion device capable of suppressing deterioration of preload amounts of a rack gear and a pinion gear due to thermal expansion of a housing.SOLUTION: A rotation/linear motion conversion device employs a structure that has: a rack bar 30 in which a rack gear 32 is formed; a housing 40 surrounding the periphery of the rack bar 30; a pinion shaft 20 inserted into the housing 40 and including a pinion gear 22 engaged to the rack gear 32; and a support block 50 provided on an opposite surface 41s1 of the housing 40 opposite to the rack gear 32 and supporting the rack bar 30 in a relatively movable manner in a longitudinal direction of the rack bar 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
