PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for removing an unnecessary object adhering to a light guide body, while suppressing the damage of the light guide body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes a cleaning unit 80, a photoreceptor drum 50, and a light guide body 105. The photoreceptor drum 50 is movable with respect to the cleaning unit 80. The light guide body 105 irradiates the photoreceptor drum 50 with light. The cleaning unit 80 includes a contact part 815, a container 801, a piston 807, and a connection member 811. The contact part 815 is brought into contact with the photoreceptor drum 50 and moved. A jetting port 801a is formed in the container 801. The jetting port 801a is opened toward the light guide body 815. The piston 807 is slid along the inner peripheral surface of the container 801.
