PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage for a thrust roller bearing which can reduce rotation torque, and which maintains durability with respect to a radial load during thrust roller bearing rotation, and a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A cage (11) for a thrust roller bearing is provided in a thrust roller bearing (20), and it has a plurality of pockets (21) for accommodating a roller (13). The cage for a thrust roller bearing includes: an outer diameter region folding part (41) formed by folding a region located further outer diameter side than the pocket (21) by an inclination angle of below 45° to the inner diameter side; and a projection part (44) provided at a tip of the outer diameter region folding part (41) in an aligned position at each pocket (21), and for projecting to the inner diameter side from an edge of the outer diameter side of the pocket (21) so as to come into contact with an end surface (16) of the roller (13) accommodated in the pocket (21).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
