PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in which: transplant of seedling and the like in a field is manually performed so far, therefore burden of a worker who must do the hand work is not small; an automatic type transplanter is known so as to alleviate the burden of the transplant; and user-friendliness is not sufficient in a conventional transplanter.SOLUTION: A seedling transplanter 1 comprises: a planting device 300 which plants seedlings 22; a compaction mechanism 2100 which compacts soil by applying a compaction load to the soil around the planted seedlings 22; and a compaction load adjustment mechanism 2200 which includes a compaction load adjustment knob 2210 that an operator can operate to adjust the compaction load.
