Disclosed is a grain sorting method. According to an embodiment, the grain sorting method includes: a grain preparing step of preparing grains to be selected; an image obtaining step of obtaining a digital image of the grains to be selected; and a fair quality determining step of determining whether the grains to be selected have a fair quality from the obtained digital image of the grains to be selected. In the fair quality determining step, brightness distribution by adjacent pixel is extracted in accordance with deformation on the surface of the grains to be selected from the obtained digital image of the grains to be selected, and whether the grains to be selected have a fair quality is determined as the extracted brightness distribution by adjacent pixel in accordance with the deformation on the surface of the grains to be selected is compared with a reference value extracted from the brightness distribution by adjacent pixel in accordance with the deformation on the surface of the extracted grains with the fair quality. |
