This fuel cell anode system comprises: a fuel cell stack; a jet pump whereby a gas discharged from an anode pole side exit port is aspirated and transported, together with a supplied anode gas, to an anode pole side entry port; a heating unit for heating the anode gas supplied to the jet pump; a valve provided between the jet pump and the heating unit; and a controller for controlling the valve. The controller closes the valve when the fuel cell stack operation has stopped, and then opens the valve.
