METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYOXYMETHYLENE RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyoxymethylene resin composition that can sufficiently suppress a generation amount of formaldehyde during molding without performing stabilization treatment for stabilizing an unstable terminal group of a crude oxymethylene copolymer.SOLUTION: The polyoxymethylene resin composition is produced by melting and kneading a hindered phenolic antioxidant and an ethylene methacrylic acid copolymer resin or an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer resin or a salt thereof with a crude oxymethylene copolymer having an unstable terminal group which has not been stabilized although a polymerization catalyst is deactivated after finishing the copolymerization without performing stabilization treatment for stabilizing the unstable terminal group. The thus-produced polyoxymethylene resin composition is suitably used for forming an extruded molded article because long-term discoloration and long-term degradation in physical properties is suppressed when the polyoxymethylene resin composition is extrusion-molded.SELECTED DRAWING: None
