PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector which allows for integral molding a tubular terminal and a housing by insert molding, by ensuring a space where a protrusion terminal comes into contact with the tubular terminal, when molding the housing, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A second electric connector 20 includes an inner housing 21 to be fitted to the outer housing of a first electrical connector, and a tubular terminal 23 into which the protrusion terminal of the first electrical connector is inserted in contact therewith. The inner housing 21 and tubular terminal 23 are insert-molded integrally. An annular convex part 231a functioning as a resin outflow prevention mechanism, for the contact part with the protrusion terminal, projects from the tubular terminal 23 into the internal space. When insert molding is performed, a rod-like metal mold 30 is inserted from the tip of the tubular terminal 23, and brought into contact with the annular convex part 231a, thus closing the gap between the tubular terminal 23 and rod-like metal mold 30. The molding resin does not flow out from the position where the annular convex part 231a is formed to the tip side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14 |
