CIRCULAR POLARIZATION PLATE FOR ORGANIC EL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ORGANIC EL DISPLAY DEVICE

Provided is a circular polarization plate for an organic EL display device, the polarization plate having a superior reflection prevention function and a superior protection function for an organic EL panel. This circular polarization plate is used in an organic EL display device. The circular polarization plate comprises the following in the given order: a polarizer; a retardation layer that functions as a λ/4 panel; a barrier layer; and an adhesive layer having a barrier function. An angle formed by the absorption axis of the polarizer and the slow axis of the retardation layer is 35° to 55°.
