摘要 A path selection method and apparatus for a point to multiple point multicast traffic engineering tunnel. The method comprises: determining a shortest path between a root node and a first leaf node as a path between the root node and the first leaf node, and adding the path to a reference path set; taking one of other leaf nodes as a target leaf node, when a determination principle for the path between the root node and the target leaf node is preferably selecting a path which saves the most bandwidth, if alternative paths exist in paths between the root node and the target leaf node, selecting one of the alternative paths, determining the selected path as the path between the root node and the target leaf node, and adding the determined path to the reference path set; and if remaining path-undetermined leaf nodes exist in the other leaf nodes, returning to above step to continuously determine a path between the root node and each leaf node, and adding the path to the reference path set. The solution in the embodiments of the present invention can reduce a traffic replication load of the root node and improve the transmission performance of a multicast network.
