Printing paper, resistant to ink bleeding contains as loading or coating material, particles of adsorbent natural or synthetic zeolite, e.g. analcite, chabazite, helvite, heulandite, natrolite, noselite or sodalite, having a channelled internal structure and approximately 10 microns in size. Calcium or sodium cations of the zeolite may be replaced by nickel, copper, iron, zinc, mercury, barium, lead, cadmium or potassium. The coating may be 0.0005 inch thick and may contain starch, e.g. with casein and a latex. |
